Once you’ve created a Project and uploaded your sermon files, you’re ready to start creating content. Content Studio gives you two powerful ways to do this: Actions and Chat. Both are accessed by opening a Project that you have already created.
Actions are pre-created tools that help you quickly generate specific types of content with one click.
Chat gives you a conversational space to ask questions about your sermon, generate custom materials, and explore creative ideas beyond the prebuilt templates.
Whether you want to generate social clips, devotionals, or fresh teaching materials, you’ll find both flexibility and efficiency in the ways you can create content inside your Projects.
Actions
Actions make it easy to generate new content instantly - no configuration required.
You can find Actions in the left panel of your Project Workspace. At the top of this panel, you’ll see a switcher that lets you toggle between Actions and Chat modes.
When you’re in Actions mode, simply click on an Action to begin generating content. Content Studio will automatically process your sermon files and create the materials for you.
Each Action will create a new item in your Generated Content panel (on the right side of your workspace), where you can review, edit, or publish it.
Tip: You can run multiple Actions at once using multi-select. This is a great way to generate several types of content at the same time, saving you valuable prep time each week. To enter multi-select mode, click on the double checkmark and select any number of Actions to run simultaneously.
There are 3 types of Actions you can run: Video Content, Audio Content, and Written Content.
Video Content
The only Action available in this section, Generate Clips, creates short, shareable video or social clips from your sermon. For a full guide on this powerful feature, check out this article!
Audio Content
The only Action available in this section, Podcast Episode, uses the uploaded content to create a Podcast episode. For more information, visit this article!
Written Content
This section contains several default Actions that are available in every Content Studio account to create written content like devotionals, leader guides, and more. Templates included in every Content Studio account are:
Parent Guide - a guide for parents to use when discussing the sermon with their children
5-Day Devotional - a week-long devotional series built from your sermon
Sermon Summary - a simple summary of the sermon with main points
Group Leader Guide - a discussion guide for small group leaders to use to lead conversation
In addition to the default Actions available in every Content Studio account, you can create your own pieces of written content to be used as Actions in all our your Projects.
Chat
Chat is where creativity meets flexibility. It allows you to have a natural conversation with AI, ask questions about your sermon, and create custom content that goes beyond the predefined templates.
This guide will contain some basic information on using the Chat features- for a full guide with more detail, check out this article!
To switch to Chat, use the switcher at the top of the left panel and select Chat. You’ll see a familiar chat interface where you can type messages, ask for ideas, or request specific types of content.
You might use Chat to:
Brainstorm sermon titles or taglines
Draft a blog post or email recap based on your message
Generate quotes
Ask questions about your uploaded sermon files (“Summarize the main point of this sermon,” or “What’s a good small group question from this section?”)
To begin interacting, simply type in your prompt or question. After the AI responds, you’ll see several buttons below its message. One of them is Create Page. Clicking this button will turn the AI’s response into a new piece of written content, which will appear in your Generated Content panel on the right side of the workspace.
Chat History
Every Project has its own Chat History, which means your conversations stay organized and relevant to the sermon files within that Project.
To access your Chat History, click the clock icon at the top of the Chat Input area (bottom of the Chat panel). From there, you can browse and reopen previous conversations to pick up where you left off.
Chat Prompt Library
The Chat Prompt Library is your collection of ready-made and reusable prompts, and is a great way to speed up your creative process.
You can access the Prompt Library from within Chat.
The Chat Prompt Library includes two types of prompts:
Default Chat Prompts – Prewritten prompts provided by Content Studio to help you get started quickly.
Custom Chat Prompts – Prompts you create and save yourself for reuse later (available for Plus and Pro tiers only).
To use any existing prompt, simply find the prompt and click Use Prompt. The prompt will automatically be sent into the Chat as a new message.
You can also create a new custom prompt that can be reused later in other projects. Just click Custom -> New Custom Prompt. Give your prompt a name and type out the prompt. You can toggle on the options to allow this prompt in Dynamic Content (read more about this feature in our Custom Templates guide), and to share the prompt with other users in your account. Once you're finished, click Create to save the prompt for future use.
