How to Add a Custom Domain to Your Content Studio Account

In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of adding a custom domain to your Content Studio account. This feature is available for users on a Pro subscription and allows you to reroute pages generated from Content Studio to your church's own domain, making it appear as though they are coming directly from your website.

Step 1: Access the Custom Domain Feature

  1. Log in to your Content Studio account.

  2. Click Settings in the left-hand navigation.

  3. Select Domains from the menu that appears

  4. Click Add Your First Domain
    ​

Step 2: Enter Your Custom Domain

  1. A pop-up dialogue will appear. In the Domain Name field, enter the domain you want to use. For example, if your church's domain is foundrybaltimore.com, you might enter devotions.foundrybaltimore.com

  2. Click Continue
    ​

Step 3: Configure Your DNS Settings

  1. Once you add your custom domain, Content Studio will provide you with an A Record IP address to use.

  2. Log in to wherever you purchased your domain (such as GoDaddy, Google Domains, or Namecheap).

  3. Open your DNS settings, where you manage where your domain points.

  4. Look for a button labeled Add Record or Add A Record.

  5. Enter the following information:

    • Name or Host: @

    • Type: A

    • Value or Points to: 109.105.222.221

  6. Click Save. It may take a few minutes (up to an hour - depending on service) for the update to go live.

Step 4: Await Verification

  1. Return to your Content Studio account.

  2. You will see that your domain is marked Verifying

  3. It may take a few minutes or even up to an hour for your DNS server to verify the new domain and be active.

Step 5: Confirm Your Custom Domain Is Active

  1. After a few minutes, your custom domain should become live and active.

  2. Test the domain to ensure it is working correctly.
